I love teaching the Bible. I can’t wait to teach on Sunday mornings. My goal has always been to help people understand the Bible but just as important to help them apply the teachings of the Bible to their lives. So I decided to see if I could reach more people outside of my class and church.
I did a little research and thought about different methods to increase my audience. Podcasting seemed to be the best way. At first I thought I would just record my Bible study lessons, but then I decided it might be better to shorten the lessons. I know that most people try to read a devotional each day and most devotionals only take a few minutes, so I decided to create short podcasts of less than 10 minutes pharmaciegenerique.fr.
Each podcast covers a few verses in the Bible, that way people get their reading in for the day. I then discuss the passage and try to make it easy to understand. I then ask a few simple questions to get people thinking and then make an application. Simple.
The process seemed easy at first. I thought how hard could it be to create a website, record the lessons, get on iTunes and other podcasting platforms and then get the world to start listening. Well, so far it has been a long journey. I already knew how to build a website but the podcasting part was a little more difficult than I thought.
So what now? Well I hope people will actually start listening to the lessons and tell their friends using Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and other social media. I hope people will subscribe to my podcast at iTunes. I hope people that know me well, will help me out. My goal is to get better with each lesson. I am used to standing before people while I teach. I love asking questions and getting feedback. One thing that I haven’t got used to yet is teaching a microphone. I seem a little stiff. I hope to get better in time.
This is the beginning of the journey. I hope it goes well.
